We're going camping - Woohoo!!!

I am so excited to head out camping! Every year around the fourth of July, we go on an outing to Miller's Flat. It is so gorgeous up in the mountains. We absolutely love getting away from it all. Garrett and Jessica won't be with us the whole time but they will watch out for the house and that's a good thing. Hopefully they won't have any big parties while we are gone. LOL.

Here are two pages I scrapped from last year's outing.

I'll see you again after the fourth!

So You Think You Can Dance

I am addicted to SYTYCD. The dancers are absolutely amazing. I think this season might be the best ever. When you combine the great dancing with a fabulous song like The Frames, "Falling Slowly" you can't go wrong. Last night, I just melted. Take a look.

I loved it and I could listen to this song over and over!!!

Organized Scrapbooks

Tiff asked me how I organize my scrapbook stuff. So I am going to share that in this post.

I got sick of not being able to find things in my stash so I decided to create an "Organized Scrapbooks" folder. I am a big fan of IKEA Goddess so I download lots of freebies every month.(Although I have gotten a lot more picky recently as my 1TB EHD is filling up quickly.)

I organize into different sites that I like because usually I can remember which site I bought certain kits from. For the general freebie downloads and such, I put each into one of the categories on the screenshot below.

I like to categorize some things into "Holidays" if I would only use those things at say Valentine's Day. Within the Valentines Day folder I have subcategories such as "Wordart" That way if I am looking for a wordart for a Valentine LO I would have an easier time finding it.

I tried ACDSee and it just seemed too time intensive and it wouldn't work if I was working on my laptop with my EHD.

I love previews!!! I label the preview with the word "folder" so that it shows up as the defining thing in the folder(it must be a JPEG file - png's don't work.) That way, I can quickly look at the previews and find things easily.

In my "Organized Scrapbooks" folder I keep a Notepad file that helps me keep track of what I have done and what I am working on. It's crazy how easy I forget what I was last working on.

Organizing is an evolving process. I figure out helpful, new things all the time. I really believe in the delete key. I delete all the TOU's and extra previews and such because I feel they are a waste of space. I can always look them up later if I need them.

If you have any ideas on organizing that you would like to share please please please comment below. I am always open to new ideas!

Hello

My 12:00 pm appointment called and rescheduled her haircut. I called my 1:30 appointment and asked them if they could come in during her time slot and guess what? They could and did. And why am I telling you all this? Because - woo hoo - I got out of work early and I have had an absolutely cool afternoon relaxin' and scrappin.

I am finally getting my scrappin' stash organized. It's so much more fun to be able to find what you are looking for.

I used a quick page from Scrap Orchard for this first layout.

That page inspired me to scrap more pics from Braden's birthday and thus this page was born.

New Desktop

Wow, can you believe it's June 1st already.

I just finished up my new desktop. I think it turned out so cute.
I got it free from the Shabby Princess blog and just put in my own photos. You may recognize them. They are from my "Pounds Off" layout.

I used a Color Wonder action on the photos called "choco-latte." I just love Mindy's actions. I use them all the time!
