Nerds

Journaling: We now have two engineers in the house. Brett is a chemical engineer. Garrett is a civil engineer. Have you ever noticed that engineers are a different breed. They definitely look at the world in a special way. They can be very analytical and they seem to remember everything. Before I married an engineer, when someone spoke of one, I always pictured a nerd with a protractor. I like this quote from Scott Adams “Engineers like to solve problems. If there are no problems handily available, they will create their own. Just kidding guys! We love our nerds!!! Will Braden be a Future Engineer/Nerd?

Jacob's 11th Birthday

Beautiful Utah

Right now the air is crisp. There is snow on the mountaintops. Even though I still have to wear a jacket, the excitement of spring is just around the corner. I think we have some of the most fabulous scenery around! I feel blessed!!!

It's my son's birthday this month. He is so anxious. He has been reminding me everyday! He's already made his requests for birthday presents. He wants Super Mario Brothers for Wii. He even has me getting excited!


I remember being eleven. I think I often had that same mischievous look on my face. How about you? What was eleven like for you?

I have a funny story about this little girl.

She is the happiest baby ever! She is always smiling at everyone. You don't even have to coo at her to get her to grin all over the place! But, when we pull out the camera, we can rarely get her to smile! What's the deal?
